IT STARTED WITH A SEA OF SAMENESS

Most luggage companies ask you to choose from their colours and their designs. We thought you should be able to decide what your suitcase looks like.

We believe luggage should be unmistakably yours.

Hi, Simon, the founder of Singular Luggage.

I’ve always been struck by how much luggage looks alike. Walk through an airport and you’ll see row after row of black, navy and grey suitcases—often with little more than a ribbon or luggage tag to tell them apart.

Even the more colourful options are still someone else’s design, shared by thousands of other travellers.

I began to wonder: why do luggage companies get to decide what your suitcase looks like?

One piece of technology sparked an idea.

The idea for Singular Luggage began at a plastics-industry trade show, where I saw new technology producing remarkably detailed images on plastic.

Looking at my own suitcase later, I started thinking about what might be possible.

What if you could put virtually any image you wanted on your luggage?

Not just a name or a monogram. A favourite photograph. Original artwork. A beloved pet. A meaningful place. Something funny, bold or completely unexpected.

A suitcase that didn’t simply carry your belongings—it carried a piece of what you love.

Turning the idea into a suitcase took time.

The concept was simple. Making it work was not.

I spent the next six months experimenting with materials, testing designs and working through one problem after another. The image had to remain vibrant, protected and durable enough for real travel. And the suitcase itself still had to perform like a serious piece of luggage.

The breakthrough was placing a high-quality printed insert behind a clear polycarbonate shell.

That meant the design would be protected from the bumps and scrapes of travel rather than applied to the outside like a sticker. It could cover the entire front of the suitcase—and could even be replaced when you wanted a new look.

The front of the suitcase had become a canvas.

Singular Luggage was born.

Today, Singular Luggage gives travellers something the large luggage brands don’t: the freedom to decide what their suitcase looks like.

Every personalized design is reviewed by a real person, and every custom suitcase is personalized here in Canada. Before we produce it, you receive a digital proof so you can see exactly how your design will look and request changes if needed.

The result is luggage that feels genuinely personal—and is easy to recognize the moment it arrives at baggage claim.

Built for the journey, not just the look.

Personalization is what makes Singular different, but it could never come at the expense of function.

Our suitcases are made for real travel, with durable construction, smooth double-spinner wheels with replaceable metal stems, comfortable gel-feel handles and organized interiors with full dividers and zippered pockets.

Your design is protected behind the clear shell, and the printed insert can be changed without replacing the entire suitcase.

Because luggage should be as practical as it is personal.

A Canadian family business with a different point of view.

Singular Luggage is a Canadian business built around a simple belief:

You shouldn’t have to travel with a suitcase that looks like everyone else’s.

Your luggage can reflect your personality, preserve a meaningful memory, celebrate something you love or simply make you smile every time you see it.

It can tell a story.

More importantly, it can tell your story.

Make your next journey distinctly yours.

Create a suitcase using your own photo, artwork or idea—or choose one of our exclusive designs.
